Position Summary

This position oversees all of the payroll functional and administrative duties for a large multi-provincial company.

Responsible for coordinating day-to-day payroll activities, processing semi-monthly payroll, preparation and remittance of Source Deductions, Canada Savings Bonds, Provincial Health and Benefit plan payments, as well as WCB premiums and Garnishee requests.

Preparation of Record of Employment and final pays, preparing and posting all payroll related journal entries, and other various payroll responsibilities as assigned by the Controller and President.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years general payroll experience
  • Have completed or completing the CPA Payroll Compliance Practitioner Program.
  • Knowledge of ADP Pay Specialist an asset
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding of Employment Standards and other payroll related legislation
